Nate was hanging out with his buddy Cal and wanted to make something special for Cal's two daughters:
Alba (age 6) and Paloma, nicknamed "Bingo" (age 3-4) โ named after Bingo from the TV show Bluey!
The request: a simple game they could play together with Dad, inspired by the values of Bluey โ where the world is magical, play is precious, and family moments matter most.
Alba & Bingo's Magic Garden โ a simple, magical game where:
There's no winning or losing. No timers. No scores. Just making beautiful things together and watching the garden come alive.
Bluey is special because it celebrates the magic in everyday moments. The show is about imaginative play, patient parenting, and finding joy in simple things.
I tried to capture that by making something where:
The day/night toggle was added because kids love that kind of transformation. During the day, you grow a sunny garden with butterflies. At night, the same garden becomes a starlit wonderland.
Alba (being 6) might enjoy switching back and forth. Bingo (being 3) might just love tapping things and watching them appear. Both are correct.
This is really a game for the three of you to play together. Maybe Alba plants flowers on one side while Bingo makes butterflies. Maybe you all take turns pressing the magic button. Maybe it just becomes background while you talk about the colors.
That's the Bluey way โ the activity is just an excuse to be together.
